SEVEN AMERICAN ANGELS
Part 2
After the first three angel messages of Revelation 14, which were discussed in Part 1, there comes a
break in the flow of the messages. The scripture, Rev. 14:12, refers to those sealed (with God's mark) in
the third angel's message. Rev. 14:13 refers to those who sealed (with God's mark) in the fourth angel's
message.

First, Rev. 14:12: "Here is the patience of saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and
the faith of Jesus." This scripture speaks of those living persons who were sealed (marked) on earth and
then died as the judgment of the dead took place in heaven. (As revealed in Part 1, the judgment of the
dead started in 1844 when Christ entered the heavenly sanctuary to blot out all sins from the heavenly
records, to determine which of the dead were sinners and remove their names from the heavenly
records, and to clear and leave unblemished the names of the saints. This book judgment that purified
the sanctuary was the judgment of the dead.)

Houteff used the prophecy of the 390 days and forty days found in Ezekiel 4 to determine the start of the
marking (sealing) of the 144,000.“We may suppose that the 390 year period began in about 1500 A.D.,
(when Luther found the Bible), and ended in 1890 A.D., where the 40 year period began, which would end
in 1930. However we cannot predict the exact day or month or even year...
The prophecy of Ezekiel gives
the information in detail from the beginning of Luther's reformation to Ezekiel 9, marking of the 144,000,
and unrolling of the scroll.
” (Ibid, The Shepherd's Rod, Vol. 1, 1930, p. 116).

The Ezekiel 9 type slaughter which Houteff prophesied actually fulfilled Ezekiel 7, which is a whole biblical
chapter that predicts WWII and the Holocaust. However, Houteff was correct in principle. The slaughter in
Ezekiel 7 was an Ezekiel 9 type slaughter (see Ez. 7:9), a sealing of the 144,000 occurred and there was a
great unrolling of the scroll. During that unrolling of the scroll,  Houteff corrected small portions of Ellen
White's message and took it forward. Rev. 14:12 (quoted above) is acknowledging those saints sealed
during the judgment of the dead, who thereafter died.

There follows a heavenly message about the judgment of the living. "And I heard a voice from heaven
saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit,
that they may rest from their labors, and their works do follow them." (Rev. 14:13). The people that this
scripture refers to are sealed, they died in the Lord. Their good works are written in the heavenly
records, but their sins are not. This means that all the dead have been judged, and the names of all
sinners and the records of all sins have been removed from the heavenly sanctuary.
The sanctuary has
been cleansed. Sins will never be recorded there again
. The judgment of the living has begun.

This brings us to the fourth angel messenger:

Benjamin Lloyd Roden

The fourth angel message is a message of symbols rather than words. "And I looked, and behold a white
cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in
his hand a sharp sickle." (Rev. 14:14).

The white cloud points to the Second Coming of Christ. "And when He (Christ) had spoken these things,
which they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked
steadfastly toward heaven, as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also
said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you
into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11). His
resemblance to the "Son of man" (one of the titles of Christ), and the golden crown on his head are also
symbols of the Second Coming of Christ.

The sickle in his hand is an instrument used in reaping (harvesting) grain. Speaking of the grain harvest,
Christ said: "The harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. The Son of man shall
send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them that do
iniquity... Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father." (Matt. 13:
39,41,43). The symbol of the sickle points to heavenly judgment that preserves the saints and destroys
the sinners.

Does this mean that Ben Roden was Christ? No! Whoever fulfills this scripture when this angel message
is repeated during the time of the trumpets is much more likely to be Christ, although to be fair, a number
of scriptures indicate that Christ will chose a surrogate to represent Him in fulfilling some of the
prophecies about Him. (See No. 41, "Christ's King.") Ben Roden was, remember, the instruction of the
fourth trumpet rather than the fourth trumpet himself.

Benjamin Lloyd Roden was born in Oklahoma in 1902. He became a Seventh Day Adventist in 1940 and
joined Houteff's Davidian SDA in 1946. After Houteff's death in 1955, Ben responded to a call from God and
founded the Branch Davidian SDA. Ben taught the Judgment of the Living, and the keeping of the biblical
feast days. Neither of these were new messages, since both White and Houteff predicted the coming of
the judgment of the living and supported keeping the feasts in theory. Ben Roden, however, stated that
the judgment of the living began in 1955 and instituted keeping of the feast days in 1960. Ben also
organized settler's rights in Israel, preparing the church for the return to the Holy Land prophesied in Ez.
20:40. Ben Roden died Oct. 22, 1978.

Like Houteff, Ben Roden also dated his ministry from the fulfillment of the 430 years (390 plus 40). "Luther
started a revival in 1500 but it was not until 1525, that the reformation started – Protestantism accepted by
the people of Worms, then

"1525 + 430 = 1955 – GOD BEGINS THE REFORMATION THAT IS TO BRING EVERLASTING PEACE AND
RIGHTEOUSNESS!" (Ben Roden, Branch Sabbath School Lessons, Vol. 2, No. 2, 1958, p. 4).

Ben Roden also recognized 1525 as significant because of Luther's marriage. "We find the first civil act in
Luther's life (legal record) which indicated a reformation against the Catholic Church was his marriage to
an escaped nun, Katherine Von Bora, in 1525..." (Ibid, p. 1).

At the beginning of this article, I discussed Rev. 14:12,13, saying that these verses marked a shift from
the judgment of the dead to the judgment of the living. So, I believe that Ben Roden was quite correct in
his announcement of the judgment of the living at the beginning of his ministry in 1955.

"With the coming of the Branch message we find the starting of the 430 year prophecy of Ezekiel 4,
beginning in 1525, to be a historical date – correct and definite. Therefore, the Judgment of the Living
starting in the Autumn of 1955 begins at a definite time just as did the judgment of the Dead in the Autumn
of 1844." (Ibid, Vol 2, No. 5, Lesson 18).

Likewise Ben Roden started keeping the feasts in 1960 based on events in Luther's life. "The time the
Protestant confession of faith was drawn up:  the Confession at Augsburg (1530)...marked the triumph of
the Reformation in Germany..." (Ibid, Vol. 7, p. 12). "1530 AD  Marks the triumph of the Reformation in
Germany – ten governors sign Confession at Augsburg... Four hundred and thirty years to 1960...  
Reformation goes forth –
Feasts instituted." (Ibid, p. 14).

Further, Ben Roden had a clear understanding that he was to be crowned as the vice-regent for Christ.
""We are STILL in the "wilderness" (lands of the Gentiles), and God wants to speak comfortably unto us
that we might ALL WORK TOGETHER IN UNISON in this great PRE-PENTECOSTAL EFFORT, under the
GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (Amos 3:7)."

""GOD INSTRUCTS THAT THIS PROPHECY BE QUICKLY FULFILLED ---"

""Then shall the children of Judah (Davidians) and the children of Israel (S.D.A.s) be gathered together,
and APPOINT THEMSELVES ONE HEAD, and they shall come up out of the land..." Hosea 1:11; "AFTERWARD
shall the children of Israel RETURN, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the
Lord... in the LATTER DAYS." Hosea 3:5."

""
PENTECOST is "crowning time" (C.O.L. 120, 121) for the King ("Vice-regent" receives "pledges of
loyalty." P.P. 702)
"

""Spread the news QUICKLY that God is calling us to New Mt. Carmel Center, Waco, Texas (place in the

then, subsequently, GO QUICKLY to our Brethren as did the 70, PREACHING AND HEALING!!!"

""For "in the place (New Mt. Carmel) where it was said unto them, Ye are NOT my people, THERE it shall
be said unto them, Ye ARE the sons of the living God." Hosea 1:10"

""Therefore, at the end of the 120 years from the year 1850 when the First Testimony was written to the
Church by E.G White, Judah (DSDA) and Israel (SDA) are gathered together June 14, 1970, New Mt. Carmel
Center, Waco, Texas, in the WILDERNESS to appoint themselves ONE HEAD."" (Ibid, "Crowned in the
Wilderness," 1970, p. 4).

Ben Roden's voluminous message can be found on the Internet, search Benjamin Roden. There is a great
judgment associated with the sickle in the hand of the person (like the Son of man) who comes on the
white cloud, but the fifth angel messenger is on the scene before that judgment takes place.

It should be mentioned that Ben Roden sponsored his wife's message (of the feminine member of the
God Family) before he died in several field letters, essentially, he formed a joint ministry with his wife.
""Several Branch brethren have written to the Office with questions regarding the message of the Holy
Spirit. We are happy to write you that a tract, "The Two Turtle Doves," has been mailed to you which
should answer the questions. "The Daily, Part 2" has also been sent to you; you have no doubt received
both of these tracts by this time! "The Two Turtle Doves" tract shows what the glory is, and "The Daily,
Part 2" tract tells how to get it! Put the two together and you have ELIJAH. The mystery of which Paul
spoke (1 Cor. 15:51) is now being unveiled before our astonished eyes! Are you catching the vision, dear
one?"" (Branch Field Letter, July, 21, 1978; also see BFL May 5, 1978 and May 25, 1978.)

That brings us to the fifth angel messenger, Lois Roden.

Lois Irene Scott Roden

The fifth angel message is: "And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him
that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle and reap, for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest
of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was
reaped." (Rev. 14:15,16).

At the time of this message, the temple of God in heaven was mirrored by a temple on the earth. The
earthly temple was established by Ben Roden when he instituted the keeping of the feasts (1960) and the
Daily services (1976). The temple is characterized by both daily, weekly (Sabbath), monthly (New Moons),
and yearly worship (Passover, Pentecost, Atonement, Tabernacles, etc.) and a prophetic message. "... A
continual (daily) burnt offering (changed by Christ to taking the bread and the wine) throughout your
generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord: where I will meet you, to
speak there unto thee. And there will I meet with the children of Israel, and
the tabernacle shall be
sanctified by My glory
." (Ex. 29:42,43).

What was true of the tabernacle (the portable temple) was also true of the stationary temple in Jerusalem.
Remember that the Spirit sent Simeon into the temple to prophesy about the Christ Child before Mary and
Joseph, and Anna who lived in the temple also prophesied about Him to His parents. (See Luke 2:22-39).

The glory of God resides in the temple, resting on the cherub which is atop the Ark. "And the glory of the
God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house." (Ez. 9:3).
In this scripture, the glory of God prepares to leave the temple just before the Ezekiel 9 slaughter begins.

Who is this glory? It is the heavenly woman. "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as
he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man." (1 Cor. 11:7). As the devout
woman is the glory of her husband, so the heavenly woman is the glory of God. Specifically, this glory is
the Holy Spirit Mother, Mercy.

The point I'm making here is that Lois Roden could not have received her message of the Holy Spirit
Mother before Ben Roden reestablished the temple on earth by keeping the Sabbaths, the feast days, the
New Moons and (in 1976) the dailies. (Lois was the fifth angel messenger and the fifth angel came out of
the temple.) Lois Roden's message is on the Internet and parts of it are on this website. Article No. 22,
"The Holy Family" relies heavily on her work and is a good place to study the overwhelming scriptural
evidence that she was right about the feminine members of the Godhead.

Lois Irene Scott Roden was born in 1905.  In 1977, a year before Benjamin Roden died, Lois received a
vision of the Holy Spirit symbolized as a feminine "shimmering silvery Angel." She was co-president of
the Branch Davidian Seventh-day Adventist Church with Ben Roden until he died in 1978. David Koresh
came into the church in 1981, married Lois who was 40 years his senior, and used that marriage to seduce
away part of the flock. He proclaimed himself as the new prophet. Over 90% of the flock rejected Koresh,
continuing to support Lois. Lois died in 1986
.

Lois has described her vision in her literature. "In the Autumn of 1977 the author, Mrs. Benjamin L.
Roden, had a view of the Holy Spirit as the FEMININE member of the Godhead. She saw a mighty Angel, of
shimmering silver in feminine form, fly swiftly past her window on a background of thousands of
attending angels. Although this feminine representation of the Holy Spirit was directly contrary to her
former belief that the Third Person was a masculine representation in the Trinity, she could not refuse to
tell what she understood from the vision about the femininity of the Holy Spirit." (Lois Roden, "In Her
Image," 1981).

From the beginning of her ministry, Lois grounded her work in the writings of Ellen G. White. (See Lois
Roden, "Christ and the Holy Spirit, Two Turtle Doves," 1978, particularly p. 12-16). Toward the end of her
ministry, Lois began to teach the Holy Ghost Daughter in addition to the Holy Spirit Mother.

It is clear from Rev. 14:15,16 that a judgment would come forth from the joint ministry of Ben and Lois
Roden. "And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud,
Thrust in thy sickle and reap, for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And
he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." (Rev. 14:15,16).
About nine years after Koresh took his faction off the church property in Waco and settled into a tract in
Palestine, Texas, this reaping fell on his followers. They were on the church property at the time, because
they had done a hostile takeover of the church property in 1988.

The intertwined scriptures about the man on the white cloud and the angel from the temple have been
fulfilled by a joint ministry from which came a judgment. This brings us to the last verses of Rev. 14, which
show another intertwined ministry.

And that brings us to the sixth angel messenger:

Amo Paul Bishop Roden

The sixth and seventh angel messages follow: "And another angel came out of the temple which is in
heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over
fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and
gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle
into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of
God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto
the horses bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs." (Rev. 14:17-20).

I was born in 1943. I have known myself to be the sixth angel messenger for years. In my late thirties I
suddenly began to love Christ without prompting from any human source. After I turned forty, God spoke
to me in a vegetable garden. I consulted my Christian mentor, who told me that if this was a true message
from God it would be found in the Bible. I found it in the Bible and continued to study the Bible for years.

Part of the message in the garden was about the King in the 1000 year kingdom. As you can imagine I
found scriptures about that in Psalms 2, Jeremiah 23:5,6, Revelation  2, 3, 20, etc. Then I received the
names of seven attributes of the Holy Spirit. They were righteousness, judgment, loving-kindness, mercy,
wisdom, truth, and faithfulness. I thought of loving-kindness as charity for a while, but after I found five of
these names in Hosea 2:19,20, I adopted the KJV name, loving-kindness. I discovered these seven as
well in Proverbs 9:1. "Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars." The seven
attributes of the Holy Spirit are the seven pillars of wisdom.

Eventually, I also discovered the seven in the Revelation. They are seen in God's throne room three
times. "John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is,
and which was, and which is to come; and from
the seven Spirits which are before his throne." (Rev. 1:4).
"And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and
there were seven lamps of
fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
" (Rev. 4:5). "And I beheld, and, lo, in
the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood
a Lamb as it had been
slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God
sent forth into all the
earth." (Rev. 5:6). To summarize, I was given the names of the seven Spirits of God. Over the years, I was
given further timely illumination to allow me to write this message. (More about the seven Spirits of God
can be found in No. 26, "Unsealing The Thunders.")

After three years of Bible study, I met George Roden who talked to me for two hours and sent me home
with literature from Ellen White and V. T. Houteff. I recognized quickly that their writings were true to the
Bible. I became a Branch Davidian a few weeks later on the Day of Atonement, Oct. 22, 1987. I wrote my
first letter to the church in 1990 and then stopped publishing my religious literature until the winter of
1993/1994. The literature I subsequently wrote has been archived in the Texas Collection at Baylor
University.

Which angel in the scripture quoted above is sixth and which is seventh is somewhat complicated. To
untangle the complications, the angel messages must be considered in pairs. The first and the fourth
angel messages have in common the message, "Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His
judgment has come..." (Rev. 14:7). They are the first pair.

The second and fifth angel messages have in common that both messengers were women. One, Ellen
White, confirmed a place in the ministry for women. The other, Lois Roden, confirmed the place in the
Godhead that two women, the Holy Mother and the Holy Daughter, already have.

The third and sixth angel messages have in common that both messengers are Bible interpreters.
Through the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth, Houteff gave us crystal clear understanding of 90 full chapters
of the prophetic scriptures. (There are about 270 chapters of prophetic scriptures in the Bible.) In my
literature I have explained about 100 chapters of the Bible, verse by verse. (Samples on this website
include No. 23, "Saving Judah," which explains Zechariah 12, and No. 24, "What If Christ Had Already
Come As A Thief," which explains Revelation 2 and 3 in passing.)

Houteff identified the repeat of his third angel message as the Loud Cry. He said; “Then the warning
against receiving the mark (Rev. 14:9-11), along with the call to come out, will be repeated with an
exceeding
loud cry throughout Babylon's dominion.” (Ibid, The World Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, 1941,
p. 36, 37). (In Bible prophecy, Babylon is the symbol of our confusing and greedy world. The Babylonians
descended from those who build the tower of Babel, a symbol of confusion. Additionally, they stole the
temple vessels of gold and brass from God when they sacked Jerusalem.)

Houteff, as you will recall from Part 1, was the third angel messenger of Rev. 14:9-11. The repeat of his
message is the Loud Cry. The phrase "loud cry" occurs only one time in the KJV Bible. The middle line of
the scripture of the sixth and seventh angel must be about the Loud Cry. "And another angel came out
from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a
loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle,
saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully
ripe." (Rev. 14:18).

What this means is that the seventh angel messenger is in the church before the sixth angel messenger,
but is not illuminating chapter and verse of the Bible. I say that because the seventh angel messenger is
seen coming out of the temple. "And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also
having a sharp sickle." (Rev. 14:17). Ours is the only church on earth with a prophetic message that
keeps Sabbaths, Feasts, New Moons and the Daily. This seventh angel messenger must be a member.
This seventh angel message also has a judgment associated with it, because the angel carries a sickle.

First, however, let's study the sixth angel messenger. The angel "came out from the altar." This angel is a
priest (because he comes from the altar), so the messenger who represents this angel is also a priest.
The angel "had power over fire." The power of the Holy Ghost is the power over fire. "And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled
with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:2,4).

The Holy Ghost is the author of the prophetic covenant. "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will
of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." (2 Peter 1:21). The prophetic
scriptures can only be understood  through the power of the Holy Ghost, who transmitted prophecy to
mankind. "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which
God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit
searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." (1 Cor. 2:13). So this power over fire implies a power to
illuminate the prophetic scriptures, chapter and verse. Since Houteff, I am the only person coming from
this church with that power. No. 39, "The Judgments of Ezekiel 7," No. 35, "The Judgments of Isaiah 5"
and No. 37, "The Great Trumpet of Isaiah 27" are examples of the gift.

The sixth angel message is a warning of impending judgment, because the angel "cried with a
loud cry to
him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the
earth; for her grapes are fully ripe." Speaking again of his message (Rev. 14: 9,10; the warning against
receiving the mark of the beast and suffering the terrible judgment that goes with it), Houteff said; “The
light on this subject will spread as fire in stubble until it finally illuminates the whole earth (Rev. 18:1), and
all who walk in its blaze will have their names placed in the Lamb's Book of Life.” (Ibid, The World
Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, 1941, p. 37). That light is the Loud Cry. The Loud Cry is discussed further on
this website, see No. 27, "Sudden Harvest."

That brings us to the seventh angel messenger:

In the past I have assigned this message to long term Branch Davidian Teresa R. Moore. I may have been
right to assign the message to her; however, the entwined nature of the sixth and seventh angel
message implies a joint ministry. I have tried to form a joint ministry with Teresa Moore for nine years.
Regrettably, she simply can not allow me to teach my message as God sends it. Every time I do so, she
rejects the joint ministry.

I have come to the conclusion that the Holy Ghost will have to sort this out. I say that because the Holy
Ghost has the power to judge the church. "And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it
shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the world to come." (Matt. 12:32). This seventh angel message is a
judgment of the church. "And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the
earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without
the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horses bridles, by the space of a thousand
and six hundred furlongs." (Rev. 14:19,20). That's a big judgment, but one-third of the world's population
are Christians. Note particularly, that the Christian church is a vineyard. (See John 15:1,5.)

Before leaving the subject of the angel messages, I wish to make a few points. The judgment of the
church, Ezekiel 9, is executed by men with destroying weapons. But each destroyer is instructed by God,
"Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but
come not near any man upon
whom is the mark
; and begin at My sanctuary." (Ez. 9:6). To get the mark, you must repent, "And the Lord
said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the
foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof."
(Ez. 9:5). You must follow the repentance by reformation which you both practice and teach. Start
following the Bible instead of men. (For instructions, see No. 16, "A Warning To The Little Sheep.")

In these two essays, I have presented two of the judgments from the angel messages which have been
fulfilled. One judgment came right on time, one was delayed nine years. Who knows how long God might
delay this last terrible Revelation 14 judgment and the plagues of Revelation 16 if Christians repent and
reform.
