Christians should learn to love heresy. First, often in history, heresy has been unwelcome Bible truth.
Second, even when heresy is wrong, it presents an opportunity for truth to shine. Here are two of my
favorite heresies.

God is asleep! God is not asleep; Christians are. "And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search
Jerusalem (the Christian church) with candles (Godly persons -see Prov. 20:27), and punish the men that
are settled on their lees (wine dregs, symbol of drunkenness or delusion): that say in their heart, The Lord
will do no good, neither will He do evil." (Zeph. 1:12).

In the end-time, even before the rapture, God's judgments become manifest. The first fruits of the rapture,
the harpers, sing of them. "Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? for Thou only art holy:
for all nations shall come and worship before Thee; for Thy judgments are made manifest." (Rev. 15:4).
Here are a few of God's judgments that you sleepy heads missed.

David Koresh of my church, the Branch Davidians, shot his enemies (1987, 1993), sold guns from a
Christian church, and he defiled young girls and lied about it. His followers preached that he was the
Lamb, a Sinful Messiah. This is contrary to scripture. "So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many;
and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time
without sin unto salvation." (Heb. 9:28).
Claiming that a Lamb or a Messiah could be sinful offends God. Eighty-two of Koresh's followers are
remembered in the Mount Carmel Memorial, the price of offending God.

In 1955, V. T. Houteff, founder and prophet of the Davidian S. D.A., died. Although he was a non-smoker, a
non-drinker and he ate an organic vegetarian diet, church sources say Houteff died with a greenish and
swollen liver. In 1953, a tornado hit downtown Waco, killing about 140 people. During the tornado, my
friend Barbara Sayles and others saw a sign in the heavens. She drew me a picture of it. It was a cross
with an arch over it.

Of course I associated the cross with Houteff. I believed he was the Lamb of Rev. 14:10. I had long
believed that Houteff died by poison. I related the arch to the rainbow, which is a symbol of God's
covenant. "I do set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between Me and the
earth." (Gen. 9:13). Houteff preached the return to God's Law (as amended by Christ), God's New
Covenant. "But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith
the Lord, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they
shall be My people." (Jer. 31:33).

I believe that the sign that God set in the heavens marked the destruction of downtown Waco as a
punishment for the conspiracy to murder Houteff. "Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense,
saith the Lord." (Heb. 10:30). Fingerprints of the conspiracy to end Houteff's ministry can be found in the
Waco Public Library. One afternoon I diligently searched the main library for any mention of Houteff and
found nothing. Even the Waco Tribune Herald obituaries for 1955, the year of Houteff's death, were
represented only by a card that said they were missing.

Currently, the conspiracy is on its third attempt to steal the Branch Davidian Church property. Texas has
made preliminary plans to build the Trans Texas Corridor over the Church, Memorial, Ruin and the
Cemetery on the church property. If they succeed in stealing from God, the two judgments I've just
described will seem insignificant.

Here is a judgment from outside my church. John Lennon wrote the anthem for the New World Order, the
song, "Imagine." To quote: "Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only
sky, Imagine all the people, Living for today, Imagine there's no countries, It isn't hard to do, Nothing to kill
or die for and no religion too, Imagine all the people living life in peace, Imagine no possessions, I wonder
if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man, Imagine all the people, Sharing all the
world, You may say I'm a dreamer, But I'm not the only one, I hope someday you'll join us, And the world will
be as one.”

According to John Lennon, getting rid of God will improve the world. This whole song expresses the
agenda of international communism, a utopian ideology which ignores the nature on mankind and which is
always satanic in practice. God let a devil take up a gun and shoot John Lennon dead.

Here's a judgment from my family. Cap't. John Bishop was a "black-birder," he shipped Africans across the
Atlantic to be sold as slaves. The deaths Cap't. John saw as business losses, God saw as murders. When I
went to Harpswell, Maine to take pictures of the graves there, I saw the lovely stone over Cap't John's
daughter, who died at the height of her youth and beauty, 19 years old. Some wickedness is so terrible
that a man's life and soul are inadequate recompense. Sometimes God has to stab a hard heart.

My other favorite heresy is Universal Reconciliation. If this universal salvation for all Christians exists, it
relies on the grace of Christ." Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh
unto the Father, but by Me." (John 14:6).

Christ's words alone, therefore, are sufficient to overthrow this heresy. Christ said, "Enter ye in at the
strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which
go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be
that find it." (Matt. 7:13,14).

Christ also said, "Not everyone that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but
he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful
works? And then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt. 7:

And Christ told the woman who He saved from being stoned for adultery, "Neither do I condemn thee:
and sin no more.
" (John 8:11).

When asked what a man could do to have eternal life, Christ said, "If thou wilt enter into life, keep the
commandments ... Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou
shalt not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother: and thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
(Matt. 19:17).

Christ also warned that disrespect to the Holy Ghost would damn people. "And whosoever speaketh a
word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it
shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." (Matt. 12: 32). There are
many people who may lead you astray in this world, but Christ will not. Who can you trust if not Christ?

Here's one more warning from Christ, spoken when he appeared to John in spirit. "I know thy works, that
thou art neither cold nor hot, I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth (not speak your name in the final judgment).
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that
thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in
the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of
thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see." (Rev. 3:15-18).
