The song of the harpers separates the 144,000 from all of the others who answer Christ's call to meet
with Him on Mount Zion. As the scripture makes plain, only the 144,000 can learn the song. "And I looked,
and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with Him an hundred and forty and four thousand, having
His Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
and they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and
no man could learn this song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from
the earth." (Rev. 14:1-3).
The voice of many waters has already been heard in the church, this refers to the living water ministry of
Christ and the Apostles. The voice of a great thunder is the end time call to found God's Kingdom, it has
already been heard in parts of the church. Knowledge of these great messages is truly a prerequisite to
learning the new song of the harpers, but still only the 144,000 can learn it.
There are probably many in Christendom who hunger and thirst to stand among the 144,000 and to
partake in their ministry, which is nothing less than taking the Word of Christ and His Kingdom to the
whole earth. It is the last call during the judgment of the world. "And he said unto me, Thou must
prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings." (Rev. 10:11). It is a prophetic
message and its messengers (like the harpers) are found in prophecy. Be advised, however, prophets in
the end time will illuminate the scriptures through the ministry of Christ and the Holy Ghost.
If you are a Christian whose spiritual goal is to be one of the 144,000, this article is for you. While I cannot
tell you what is exactly in the new song of the harpers, I can tell you what you need to study to prepare
yourself to understand it. I warn you, however, the ministry of the 144,000 is long and physically
demanding. God will certainly favor the young and strong (who can learn) over the old and learned who
can't walk for miles if need be.
Only the righteous need apply. The 144,000 are described thusly: "These are they who are not defiled
with women, for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever He goeth. These
were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was
found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God." (Rev. 14:4,5). Most of that is self-
explanatory, they follow Christ wherever He leads, they are redeemed from their sinful states to be
perfect before God, they are the start of the harvest of the world, and not only are they scrupulously
honest, they know the truth.
The question that remains, must they be celibate? The answer is no. In the Bible, false churches are
described as whorish women, as in Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations
Of The Earth and her daughters the apostate churches. (See Rev. 17.) The 144,000 have put behind them
all of the satanic false doctrine which has permeated the Christian church over the centuries, just as
they have put behind them all their sins. They come to God pure in heart and mind and spirit. Those who
are not celibate come to God with their spouses.
The first clue the scripture gives us of the new song is a description of the harpers who have been lifted
up to sing their song before the throne of God. "And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and
them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the
number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of
Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord
God Almighty, Thou King of saints. Who shall not fear Thee, O Lord, and glorify Thy name? For Thou only
art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before Thee: for Thy judgments are made manifest." (Rev.
Here is information indeed; the song of the Lamb is the Gospel Message, not only the words of Christ,
but also the clarifications of the Apostles. The works of God are found in the history of the Old
Testament. The judgments made manifest are the prophesies which have been fulfilled, both bad and
good, for example, the Holocaust and the return of the Jews to Israel both fulfilled prophecy.
That leaves the song of Moses the servant of God. Moses is most famous for leading God's people from
the brickyards of Egypt to the Holy Land and for carrying God's Law down from Mount Sinai. The song of
Moses the servant of God is about the establishment of God's Kingdom on earth and the restoration of
God's Law as amended by Christ.
This new song is also revealed in Revelation 3:12. "Him that overcometh will I (Christ) make a pillar in the
temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the
name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and
I will write upon him My new name." As we read of the 144,000, the scripture said that they already had
"His Father's name written in their foreheads." (Rev. 14:1). This is the Law of God written in their minds.
They belong to God through the blood of Christ and the renunciation of sin.
The name of New Jerusalem is also to be added to the 144,000. That means that they have committed
themselves to teaching the message of God's Kingdom come to earth, exactly as envisioned by John in
Revelation 21 and 22. These two messages, God's Law and His Kingdom, are part of the song of Moses
the servant of God.
Finally, there is the new name of Christ. It is found in prophecy. "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord,
that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute
judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely; and this
is the name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness. Therefore, behold, the days come,
saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, the Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of
the land of Egypt; but, the Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel
out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them: and they shall dwell in their
own land." (Jer. 23: 5-8). This is obviously the beginning of the Millennium Kingdom, where the Lord will
be our God and Christ will be our King under his new name, Branch. What Christ does for us in the end-
time is also part of the song of the Lamb.
In summation, the studies to become one of the 144,000 begin at the gospels. Continue with a study of
the history of the Bible. Then review God's Law. Remember that Christ nailed the animal sacrifice and the
temple offerings to the cross; you do not have to learn these.
Speaking of Christ, the scripture says, "And He shall confirm the covenant (God's Law - see Ex. 20:5,6)
with many for one week: and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease
(with His crucifixion Christ became the perfect sacrifice and offering): and for the overspreading of
abominations He shall make it desolate (the Jews continued animal offerings after Christ's crucifixion, an
offense to God), even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
The week symbolizes the time span from the birth of Christ until the destruction of Jerusalem, about 70
years later. Christ was crucified about midway through those years, "in the midst of the week." Christ
prophesied the destruction of Jerusalem here foretold, and warned his followers so that they escaped it.
Next using sources both in and out of the Bible study the prophecies that have been fulfilled. Then and
only then will you have the knowledge to dip into the morass of claims of the meaning of prophecies yet
to be fulfilled. Satan has unleashed a veritably flood of misinformation into the Christian church in an
attempt to mislead. That is also a fulfillment of prophecy.
"And when the dragon (a guise of Satan) saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman
that brought forth the man child. (As a false church is depicted as a whorish woman, the one true church
throughout the ages is characterized as a holy woman; the man child she brings forth is Christ, whose
message she preserved.) And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly
into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times and half a time, from the
face of the serpent. (The church flees from the destruction of Jerusalem into the gentile lands where
God protects her.) And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might
cause her to be carried away of the flood. (As water from Christ's mouth, true doctrine, promotes eternal
life, water from Satan's mouth, false doctrine, promotes spiritual death. A veritable flood of false
interpreters in the church spew out Satan's unholy water.) And the earth helped the woman, and the
earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. (This refers
to the destruction of Satan's ministry that has hoodwinked the people. It is in the immediate future.) And
the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep
the Commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev. 12:13-17). (When the church
is free of Satan's attempts to control her with confusion, Satan will make martyrs of many Christian
I fear that telling you what not to study without the preparation of through Bible knowledge will be
insufficient to protect you from the false interpreters in the church. Therefore, I'm going to tell you of
some God sent sources for your study. You could start with Ellen White, the founder and prophet of the
Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her books "The Great Controversy" and "Desire Of Ages" are particularly
wonderful. Copies of her work can be purchased in Seventh Day Adventist Churches.
Note that I do not send you to join this church, because the ministers have watered down her message
and although they keep the right Sabbath, they don't heed the Apostle Paul with respect to keeping the
feast days of Lev. 23 and New Moons. "Let no man therefore judge you in meat (because you eat food
God considers unclean), or in drink (because you misuse alcohol), or in respect of an holyday (feast), or
of the New Moon, or of the Sabbath days." (Col. 2:16).
The work of V. T. Houteff is easier to locate. Houteff is simply the best Bible interpreter of the last
century. He lets the scripture speak with it's own voice, while shining a bright light on those phrases that
produce meaning from obscurity. You can get the literature on the Internet, just search “shepherd's rod”
to find a half dozen sites. You can download the tracts or request copies from some sites.
I don't recommend that you join this church either, because they don't keep the feasts of Lev. 23 and
because they, as Houteff, only preach to the Seventh Day Adventists. God put that restriction on Houteff
because his message was so powerful it would have brought forth the Kingdom of God before it's time.
But now, fifty-three years after his death, the Christian church needs to hear it.
Because I have recommended these messages, I must explain the unrolling of the scroll to you. There
will be a number of prophetic messages in the end time, each revealing some new truths. The older
messages will not contain these new truths. Even Christ did not tell His disciples everything. On the
night He was taken to be crucified, He said to them, "I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye
cannot bear them now." (John 16:12). After Christ had risen He taught the scriptures pertaining to His
ministry. (Luke 24:27). That is an example of the unrolling of the scroll.
The messages will not end until the Advent of the Holy Ghost, the Comforter. "But when the Comforter is
come, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the
Father, He shall testify of Me...when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth..."
(John 15:26: John 16:13). ALL TRUTH (spiritually) means we understand all of the veiled prophesies of the
Bible. (Note that other scriptures support the femininity of the Holy Ghost, see No. 22, "The Holy Family.")
As you begin to understand this website, you may be drawn to the Messianic Jews. They have the
message of Christ, the knowledge of the God's Law and the prophecies of God's Kingdom. Because of all
this knowledge, Judah is the first tribe sealed. (See Rev. 7:1-5.) What Messianic Jewish churches don't
have is the prophetic messages that will call the Kingdom of God out of the world. "Surely the Lord God
will do nothing, but he revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets." (Amos 3:7).
Christ took the prophetic call to the Kingdom of God away from the Jews when they refused His
message. "Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation
bringing forth the fruits thereof." (Matt. 21:43). That prophetic call has come forth in America through the
Returning to Judah, the first tribe sealed; many people now in the Christian church are literal
descendants of the men and women of Judah who formed the nucleus of the early Christian church.
Those among them who keep the Sabbath, and the feasts of God and teach the prophecies of the
Kingdom of God and follow the prophetic call to meet the Lamb on Mount Zion will be the first sealed.
There will be Messianic Jews among them, following the prophetic call, but likely most will be Sabbath
and feast keeping Christians. If you are looking for an end time church, find one with Sabbath and feast
Amo Paul Bishop Roden
The 70 years is an introduced error and a very sneaky one. They teach this time prophecy in Bible
schools and Theological Seminaries. A layman, however would likely miss the explanation of the one
week above. A week equals seven years, a day for a year. The one week spans the ministry of Christ to
the Jews, three and a half years to His crucifixion, three and a half years after before the gospel went to
the Gentiles. It is not 70 years. For a full explanation of Dan. 9:24-27, see No. 35, "The Judgments Of
