The Brazen Serpent in the wilderness is the symbol of both spiritual and physical healing. Here is the
"And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt
to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this
light bread (manna). And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and
much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we
have spoken against the Lord, and against thee; pray unto the Lord, that he take away the serpents from
us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set
it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall
live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent
had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived." (Num. 21:5-9).
As all Christians should know, Christ fulfilled this serpent of brass when He was crucified. Christ told His
disciples, "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted
up (crucified): that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:14,15).
Christ laid down His life for us, that we might have more life. "I am come that they might have life, and
that they might have it more abundantly. I am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for
the sheep." (John 10:10,11).
From the past into the present, this promise of more life has been fulfilled with the sealing of the saints
into eternal life. "And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole
heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him." (Dan. 7:27).
With the coming of the Millennium Kingdom, however, the promise from Christ of more abundant life will
have a literal physical meaning. "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given
unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon
their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest
of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they
shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years." (Rev. 20:4-6).
Literally, there is a class of Christians who will be part of the administration of Christ's Millennium
Kingdom "priests of God and of Christ," and these Christians "shall reign with Him (Christ) a thousand
years." These priests of God and Christ are identified as the first resurrection. Although they will be laid
in the grave again after the thousand years are finished (to await the eternal kingdom of the saints), this
second death has no power over them, they shall rise from the grave again to live among the saints.
The connection of the Brazen Serpent with these priests of God and Christ is simple. If they are to live
consecrated lives for a thousand years, they need both physical and spiritual healing. Of these, spiritual
healing is the most important.
At this point, many Christians are probably wishing they could tell me that they were healed when they
repented their sins and took Christ as their Savior. They are walking with Christ and testifying about
Christ, and what more do they need?
To those who differ with me, I can only say, it is the scripture that tells exactly what is needed to reign
with Christ for a thousand years. Those who reign with Christ for a thousand years will be BOTH "priests
of God and of Christ."
Many Christians are prepared to be priests of Christ, spreading His Holy Words. It is a rare Christian who
is prepared to be a priest of God. Some Christians still visualize animal sacrifice when they think of a
priest of God, however Christ redefined God's Holy Priesthood, doing away with the sacrifice of animals
by becoming Our Perfect Sacrifice. Here is the prophecy that He fulfilled.
"Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and
to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and
understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the
Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built
again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut
off, but not for Himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the
sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are
determined. And He (Messiah the Prince, Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:
and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the
overspreading of abominations He shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that
determined shall be poured upon the desolate." (Dan. 9 :24-27).
For our purposes, only the last verse of this prophecy is necessary, but if you are curious about the
rest, which is a fulfilled time prophecy of the Advent of Christ, it can be found on this website in No. 35,
"The Judgments Of Isaiah 5."
Christ was to "cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease." In the place of animal sacrifice, Christ
gave us the bread and the wine. "And he (Christ) said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this
passover with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in
the kingdom of God. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among
yourselves: for I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall
come. And He took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is My body
which is given for you: this do in remembrance of Me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This
cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you." (Luke 22:15-20).
As Christians know, the bread is a symbol of Christ's body and the wine is a symbol of Christ's blood. But
Christ said something in this passage that is often overlooked. He said, "I have desired to eat this
passover with you before I suffer: for I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof (of the Passover),
until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God." This is a sure indication that we will eat the Passover in the
Kingdom of God, once there, we will fulfill the Passover with Christ.
God gives clear instructions for His priesthood, and after subtracting the animal sacrifice and the
oblations (temple offerings), the Sabbaths, Feast Days, New Moons and Daily Offerings are left. If you
are to be a priest of God, you must be able to conduct services on these days.
Almost no one is prepared to be a priest of God. Almost all Christians leaders today are following the
traditions of men, just as the priests did in the days of Christ. In His day, Christ called these men
hypocrites, because they followed human traditions instead of God's Word.
"He (Christ) answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias (Isaiah) prophesied of you hypocrites, as it
is written, This people honoureth Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Howbeit in vain do
they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment
of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups (even small observances matter):
and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of
God, that ye may keep your own tradition." (Mark 7:6-9).
In the end time, as the Millennium Kingdom comes forth, we face an easy judgment, as did Abraham.
"Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." (Gal. 3:6). God has
given us clear instructions for when to worship Him. How can we be accounted righteous if we fail to
follow His instructions?
In conclusion, spiritual healing requires Christians to turn away from the traditions of men and return to
the instructions of God, the worship defined in the Bible. As the Apostle Paul advised, "Let no man
therefore judge you in meat (because you eat food God considers unclean), or in drink (because you
misuse alcohol), or in respect of a holyday (Feastday), or of the New Moon, or of the Sabbath days." (Col
For more on this subject, see No. 16, "A Warning To The Little Sheep" and No. 55, "In The Light Of The
Ceremonial Law." Other scriptures that indicate the Christians must accept the Mosaic Law (except what
Christ changed) follow:
"And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are
scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring
you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. Like as I pleaded with
your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord God. And I will
cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant (the Bible Law as
changed by Christ)." (Ez. 20:34-37).
"And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the
heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
and I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to
them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any
more at all: neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable
things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein
they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be My people, and I will be their God. And David
My servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd (Christ): they shall also walk in
My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them." (Ez. 37:21-24).
Literally, millions of people all over the earth are descendants of Jacob and will eventually return to
their homeland. The 144,000 descendants of Jacob sealed with the Lamb on Mt. Zion are the firstfruits
(beginning) of this return. "And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an
hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. These were
redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb." (Rev. 14:1,4).
Some of you may wish to start to study for God's priesthood now. Currently, your best source of
information about performing the rituals of the Ceremonial Law would probably be the Rabbi of a
Messianic Jewish congregation. Because of the knowledge of the Messianic Jews, Judah, the tribe of
the known Jews, is the first tribe sealed for the Kingdom of God. (See Rev. 7:5.)
If you feel a call to begin the preliminary gathering of the Millenium Kingdom, which takes place before
the 144,000 meet the Lamb on Mt. Zion, an explanation of the steps you should take can be found in No.
56, "The Third Trumpet."
The Bible also promises us physical healing, saying that it will follow spiritual healing. "And said, If thou
wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His sight, and
wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon
thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee." (Ex. 15:26).
The Sabbath is a Commandment (Ex. 20:8-11), the Feast Days are called "a statute for ever throughout
your generations in all your dwellings." (Lev. 23:14,21,31). There is a component of healing that relies on
God, if you "diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in His
sight, and wilt give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes," He will heal you.
Christ has spoken of this healing. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the
gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not
shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; in My name shall they cast out devils;
they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mark 16:15-18).
Keep in mind, in the time of Christ and the Apostles, the whole body of believers was walking in the
Mosaic Law, as amended by Christ, and they had the gospel message of Christ as well. They were
spiritually perfect before God, and they literally had healing in their hands. This again is the spiritual
component of healing.
The physical component of healing is mostly common sense, but there is some scripture that relates to
this common sense. "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in
you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which
temple ye are." (1 Cor. 3:16,17).
While a man or woman lives, their body and soul are united, the combination of both is the temple of
God. If you defile yourself, God will destroy your body. (The good news, if you are an upright Christian,
He will probably spare your soul and resurrect you.)
How do you, a Christian, defile yourself? Some of this is obvious, you ignore one or more of the
Commandments, you abuse alcohol, drugs, or tobacco, or you have indiscriminate sex.
Some defilement is very subtle. You habitually do things that are bad for your body. For example, you
have a junk food or a soda pop habit or you rarely exercise. You simply don't treat your body with the
respect that a temple of God deserves. You turn to doctors to make up for your neglect of your health.
Soon you are adding multiple prescription drugs to your poor eating habits. Prescription drugs are
tested individually, and many are dangerous all by themselves, so there is a good chance that taking
multiple prescriptions will harm you. In the end, as a result of mistreating your body, you will only see
the Kingdom of God if God resurrects you.
There are several common sense articles on this website which tell you what to do if you wish to get
healthy, and keep your habits from depriving you of the chance to come into God's Kingdom alive and
reign there with Christ. The first article to read is No. 105, "Why Diets Don't Produce Long Term Results,
And What To Do Instead." It's a safe bet that if you are not taking care of yourself, you are overweight.
This article will teach you how to eat.
Another article that will help you is No. 104, "Kitchen Medicine." This recounts the things I learned about
healing in 19 years of one-sided chemical warfare (beyond surviving and writing, I never fought back).
The group that I suspect is responsible for the attempts to kill me is the American Secret Police. The
group that tries to kill me is certainly a large, well funded organization dedicated to battling messages
calling the Kingdom of God. This organization operates with impunity inside America. Things they taught
me about surviving poison are on this website on No. 103, "Surviving Poison." (Don't let this scare you, I
survived, see below.)
The current terrible state of American health is also discussed on this website, in an article which
parallels the plagues of Egypt with the problems of our civilization, No. 97, "The Plagues Of Egypt." The
section about the fifth plague explains why the people before the flood lived hundreds of years, and
why we die so young now.
Incidentally, don't let the minions of Satan scare you. To be fearful is to lack faith in God, and that is a
damnation. "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be My son.
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death." (Rev. 21:7,8).
As Christ warns, "Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for My sake and the
gospel’s, the same shall save it." (Mark 8:34,35).
I turned 49 in the month that the efforts to quietly kill me with poison and gas began to take place every
day. I resigned myself to dying before I was 50. I accepted dying young, but I could not stop being a
servant of God. My faith would not let me quit. Despite all my worldly expectations, God preserved me.
Now I am 67.
Take heart Christian soldiers. Being slain for the word of God and the testimony of Christ is the surest
way to heaven. "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that
were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held..." (Rev. 6:9). And some of us will
